E. Jetchev
CC:
EABA member Federations
Dear Sportfriends,
We
have received the letter regarding the meeting of EABA Executive Committee and
we express our high dudgeon, negotiation and surprise about this message.
We
demand explanation of these actions, including juridical grounding and
justification of such actions in terms of ethics of all people, who have made
this decision.
As
you know, initiative group of EABA national federations demanded convening of
the Extraordinary Congress in the result of numerous violations of acting EABA
Articles. This demand was accepted and officially registered in September 19,
2005.
Further
followed official circumlocution from the side of EABA officials, who were
trying to find an excuse for refusal of the Extraordinary Congress meeting and
Extraordinary Executive Committee meeting.
But
now Executive Committee Meeting is held! BUT FOR WHAT QUESTIONS and WHERE?
Instead
of discussing the most urgent problems, which made the whole boxing Europe rouse
and demand the meeting, we see in the Agenda discussion of financial questions
and confirmation of minutes. This is amazing! Boxing is going under and even
those few people who are against any Extraordinary meetings speak about this.
And those people who have the power to solve many problems and troubles of
boxers from many countries immediately, are ignoring national federations,
entrusted them their future in boxing.
If
the trouble that happened to the European boxing it is not the reason to call an
Extraordinary Congress, than how can Extraordinary EC meeting be held to discuss
ordinary financial questions and reports? Previously EABA officials insisted
that there was no reason for unplanned meetings. And now it looks like
mockery Extraordinary EC meeting is planned. It is assigned precisely at the
end of the period of 4 months, about which it is said in the EABA Articles.
It is clear that those who assigned Extraordinary EC meeting are not going to
call Extraordinary Congress. Otherwise how can you manage to call and hold
Extraordinary Congress in 4 days left till the end of 4 months period
established by the Articles?!
By
that action EABA officials proved that they flaunt Regulations and ignore
opinion of national federations. EC meeting has the only aim prevent an
Extraordinary Congress to which most of European Federations is coming.
We
are also against the Extraordinary EC meeting and any other meetings under EABA
in Bucharest. All the previous meetings in this city had scandalous character
and were accompanied with aggressive personalities to the address of some
national federations. Representative of Romanian Boxing Federation supports Mr
Doganeli (national federations was shocked by his actions) and he declares in
public that it is necessary to forget about the violations, made by Boxing
Federation of Turkey with Doganelis help as remote ones. That is the
reason why we dont support initiative of having any meetings within EABA
family in Bucharest.
We
suggest to join all together and with collective efforts avoiding the worst
violations of the EABA Regulations. By a part of the Executive Committee in
Tallinn was made a decision to convene an Extraordinary Congress in Prague (Czech
Republic). This decision was approved by the Initiative Group, which demanded
the calling of an Extraordinary Congress, as Czech Republic is not one of the
former Soviet Union republics and can be considered as neutral country that
makes it convenient for everyone. We
suggest to EVERYONE lets meet in Prague (Czech Republic) and all together
try to find the way out of the crisis, we appeared to be today. These days, when
Europe gets ready to the Christmas holidays, EABA officials may avoid violation
of Regulations and reduce to order in European Boxing family at the
Extraordinary Congress.
We
dont want to part Europe according to any features; we just demand order and
honesty in our Boxing. We are delightful to have friends among all national
federations irrespective of their nationality, confessions and place of living.
The only thing we demand is the fulfilment of the Regulations by EVERYONE,
not only by those who are lower in rank or in the number of won medals.
We
hope that common sense and respect to our Regulations will prevail and we will
meet in Prague 13 15 January 2006, to discuss the possible way out of
distressful situation in European Boxing.
With best wishes,
Eduard
R. Khusainov
